Registered Veterinary Nurse – Barnsley

Are you an experienced RVN who is looking for a new challenge and who shares our passion for high clinical standards and great customer care?

Barnsley surgery is purpose-built, spacious and air-conditioned.  Facilities currently include 6 well-equipped consult rooms, 2 op theatres, dedicated dental suite, separate cat and dog wards and waiting areas, digital processing, ultrasound, air dental and Idexx laboratory equipment.

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual, with excellent organisational skills, who puts their patients and their owners first. Competence in nurse clinics and surgical nursing is essential; and you must be flexible in undertaking and sharing a full range of duties to support the efficient running of the surgery.

Working with our existing friendly and supportive team, we offer a rewarding working environment and the opportunity for personal and career development. CPD is actively encouraged and funded.

Barnsley is a bustling town, situated in South Yorkshire, adjacent to Yorkshire Sculpture Park, beautiful countryside and within 20 minutes of Sheffield, itself close to the edge of the Peak District. With excellent transport links, the town is within an hour’s drive of Leeds, York and Nottingham, with easy access to Doncaster, Leeds and East Midlands airports.

As a key member of a surgery’s team, this role is responsible for delivering excellence in customer service and clinical care whilst promoting pet wellbeing, delivering preventive services and treating sick and injured pets.

We want your first role after graduation to be a happy and satisfying experience, so you’ll have a surgery buddy to make sure you’re settling in well.
